Not sure how it stacks up against other similarly priced reels (SLX or Tatula CT) but I do like this reel. Got this thing on sale and am loving it so far, almost never backlash and casts a dang mile. After using the Abu Garcia Blackmax for a couple years I decided it was time to upgrade. Check the screws each time you use this reel! Called customer service, and it cost me 31.00 to replace it. Cast it on the 3 trip and the left side plate fell off in the lake. Comments: These reels are junk! Bought one in December and fished with it 3 trips out.
